The office is open seven days a week 8:00am-8:00pm. Driving lessons are given Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Lesson time slots are 9:00am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:30 pm, and 5:30 pm.
Only people scheduling lessons where the pickup location is in the following zip codes can book lessons online: 33602, 33603, 33604, 33605, 33606, 33607, 33609, 33611, 33612, 33613, 33614, 33615, 33616, 33618, 33621, 33624, 33625, 33626, 33629, 33634, 33647, 33543, 33544, 33545, 33548, 33549, 33558, 33559.
I also service Lutz and select parts of Land O' Lakes. If you live in a Lutz or Land O' Lakes zip code that is not listed above you will have to text your exact full address to 813-679-0295 to confirm service availability. Once approved you can schedule online. If you live outside of my service area, I have several convenient locations to meet for lessons depending on where you live! If you agree to meet in one of those meeting locations you can also book online and just type the meeting location in the comment field for the lesson.
DO NOT BOOK LESSONS ONLINE IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE OF MY SERVICE AREA WITHOUT CALLING OR TEXTING TO GET APPROVAL. IF YOU DO, YOUR LESSONS WILL BE CANCELLED AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED A 10% PROCESSING FEE (VIA A REFUND OF 90% OF WHAT YOU PAID).
CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING POLICY - Cancelling/rescheduling is allowed up to 72 hours before the appointment start time at no charge. If a lesson needs to be cancelled/rescheduled with less than 72 hours notice, the following fee schedule applies: 72-49 hours in advance $50.00, 48-25 hours in advance $75.00, 24 hours or less is the full price of the lesson. If a lesson is cancelled with more than 72 hours notice and the customer does not want to reschedule the lesson, they will be refunded the entire cost minus a 10% processing fee.
PLEASE NOTE - There is a 30-minute pickup window. For example - If a lesson is scheduled for 1p.m., the student must be ready to go at 1p.m. The instructor may arrive at anytime between 1:00 and 1:30pm.
Lessons are 90 minutes including 5 minutes of parent review time.
LESSONS ARE FIRST COME FIRST SERVED. PLEASE KNOW THAT I GET VERY BUSY DURING THE SUMMER, SO MAKE SURE YOU SCHEDULE YOUR LESSONS IN ADVANCE TO GET THE DATES AND TIMES YOU WANT. TRY YOUR BEST TO KEEP THE LESSONS YOU BOOK (ESPECIALLY DURING THE SUMMER). IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL/RESCHEDULE A LESSON, I WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO TRY TO GET YOU BACK IN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Driving tests responsibilities:
Student Responsibilities: To have all proper documentation and fees for the tax collector, to be able to pass a vision test given by the tax collector, and to take the test when called by the tax collector road test examiner. If the student fails to meet their responsibilities and the driving test does not take place because of it, there will be no refund of driving test fees.
Tax Collector Responsibilities: To administer the driving test. If the tax collector fails to meet their responsibilities and the driving test does not take place for any reason (including, but not limited to weather and computer/internet problems) there will be a refund of 50% of the driving test fees.
Safe Drivers Florida Responsibilities: To make the appointment at the Tax Collector, to make sure the car can pass the pre-test vehicle inspection, to supply all documentation required for the test vehicle, and to fulfill the obligations outlined in Option 1 or Option 2 on the driving test page of the website. If Safe Drivers Florida fails to meet our responsibilities and the driving test does not take place because of it, the student will be refunded 100% of the driving test fees or the student can elect to go back at a later date at no additional cost.
1. Lesson time starts upon arrival at home or if gated community, at security gate/guard house.
2. Unless cancelled by the school, lessons are given and must be taken in inclement weather.
3. Students must follow the instructor's instructions at all times. Failure to follow the instructions is extremely dangerous and will result in immediate termination of the lesson and no refund for the remaining portion will be given.
4. Any change in pickup and/or drop off location may result in a shortened lesson or may not be able to be accommodated. If the student or parent then decides to cancel the lesson, that lesson will be subject to our cancellation/rescheduling policies.
5. Any belongings left in the vehicle are the responsibility of the student to collect from the school.
6. Please cancel a lesson if you are sick. I reserve the right to cancel a lesson upon arrival, if a student is sick.
7. If a student is dropped from the school for any reason. A refund of any remaining lessons will be issued based on our cancellation policy.
8. Lessons may take up to 90 days to schedule so plan and book early.
9. I'm typically booking about 2-4 weeks in advance for afternoon and weekend appointments during the school year (UP TO TWO MONTHS FOR ALL DAYS AND TIME SLOTS DURING THE SUMMER). If this is okay go ahead and book appointments/buy a package. If this is not okay, do not buy a package without first texting 813-679-0295 to check availability. Make sure the time frame you need is available first. If you do not check availability and book a package and then need a refund because of a time frame issue, you will get refunded the package price minus 10% for credit card fees I pay when the card is charged and refunded!
10. Driving instruction can include the instructor driving the vehicle to explain and demonstrate appropriate driving techniques with the student in the passenger seat and the instructor driving to a safe place to practice.
11. Lessons not completed within 12 months will be forfeited.
